Women's* Center

Special life events such as the separation from partners or other important reference persons, the birth of a child, or the death of a close person, as well as other private or professional crises, can once again intensify the anxiety about one's own existence and (financial) independence. It can often be helpful to receive support or to exchange ideas. We provide confidential (anonymously if desired), independent, and professional advice on questions regarding

  • Securing livelihoods and social benefits (unemployment benefits I/II, housing allowance, basic security) as well as with regard to family benefits (child benefit, parental allowance, maintenance (advance maintenance).
  • A more independent financial situation and with regard to a long-term (economic) stabilization
  • Getting by with little money and scarce resources, as well as dealing with prejudices against living in the 'wrong' neighborhood or buying the 'no longer trendy clothes'
  • Dealing with partners, relatives, or friends who try to establish and maintain financial dependence or control or manipulate you through financial resources
  • Our female debt advisor is also on site and can provide support if needed or offer follow-up appointments.

In addition to the counseling services, we  provide opportunities for exchange and self-help. Please feel free to contact us if needed.

The * after women stands for the diversity of identities, whether in categories such as gender (e.g., cis, trans*, inter*) or also culture, class affiliation, physical condition. As women, all those people who define themselves as women are to be understood. We are accessible to all women* and individuals who, due to their gender or gender assignments, have counseling, support, or exchange needs concerning our counseling topics.
